Visitor facilities from 2012
Plans are in progress for the development of a new visitor centre for NIAB Innovation Farm at NIAB’s MacLeod Complex. The modern, exciting and progressive design will be the perfect venue for exhibitions, lectures, seminars and workshop for up to 100 people and a base for field and glasshouse demonstrations.
The building will be sustainable using carbon neutral construction material including timber, straw, and wool. The Centre will generate as much energy as it uses – targeting a BREEAM rating of ‘outstanding’ and an ‘A’ rated energy performance certificate.
