Sustainable Architecture: Showcasing the BREEAM Awards 2014 shortlisted Sophi Taylor Building
February 6th, 2014 10:00 AM
A RIBA East co-hosted event as part of their CPD series
The Sophi Taylor Building is a striking example of BREEAM Outstanding architecture in the East of England; one of only 5 buildings shortlisted for the national BREEAM Awards 2014 and will be featured in the "Best of BREEAM" publication after the awards ceremony at Ecobuild on the 4th of March 2014. NIAB Innovation Farm Team is partnering the RIBA to deliver this bespoke event, enabling it to be offered at a subsidised rate of £30 with the balance funded through NIAB Innovation Farm's ERDF project for all eligible SMEs as defined in our eligibility questionnaire. Lunch is included and refreshments will be provided throughout the event which is open to non-members of RIBA.
This interactive workshop style event is an opportunity to engage with and learn from the building project delivery team. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and general discussion throughout the day which also includes guided tours and talks on the following topics:
- Building Design with BREEAM
- Project managing a BREEAM build
- BREEAM assessment
- User experience
Speakers include Alex Reeve of RH Partnership; Matt Partridge of SDC; Mike Evens of Burnley Wilton Fish; Jamie Buchanan of JBLA and David Neill, NIAB Project Manager.
For further details of the event, see our Provisonal Programme - now being regularly updated with talk titles, and speaker biopgraphies.
