RECEPTION CENTRE 2013
A new, purpose-built Reception Centre will be available from spring 2013. The modern and progressive design will be the venue for NIAB Innovation Farm’s exhibitions, lectures, seminars and workshops and will cater for up to 70 people. It will place the field, glasshouse demonstrations and visitor venue all on one easily accessible location at NIAB’s MacLeod Complex.
Innovation is at the heart of the building’s design. The new building is designed to achieve the highest sustainability rating and zero-carbon balance in operation, using locally sourced and sustainable materials wherever possible.
NIAB Innovation Farm aims to raise the profile and accessibility of research and innovation within the UK for all our research and innovation partners, so that once it is market-ready, business and end-users are in a position to take advantage of developments swiftly and effectively. The new venue will enhance this capability, increasing co-operation and connectivity between innovators and the impact of research:business interactions.
